“Di naman kailangang magastos ang pag-aalaga sa mga anak”, this is one of the reminders of Alaska Fortified Milk Brand Manager Mark Henry Camacho during a virtual forum for moms last November 24, 2021 entitled “Alagang Alaska: Nutri-Talks For Affordable Nutrition”.

Nutritionist and Dietician Reginna Emiliene Lat RND, then shared about the common challenges faced by moms during the pandemic–”some families not having sufficient income(due to job loss) to provide proper nutrition for their children”

Some specific challenges enumerated are the following–early closing of stores; insufficient food supplies; limited budget and time, etc.

She also informed us about misconceptions on nutrition like “thinking that early proper nourishment has no long term effect to children”, emphasizing on how crucial nutrition is during the “growing up” years.

The forum was also graced by celebrity mom, Rica Peralejo who cited personal challenges on feeding her children. And mentioned that at their age(toddlers) and at this time(pandemic), the challenging task is to come up with creative ways to make nutritious food appetizing.

fore, we could go out and eat at places that offer a variety of nutritious foods, but now you have to do it yourself at home…You have to consider things like plating, the set-up of your dining area, just so it would be a different kind of experience from day-to-day.”

ome pressing concerns about the Filipino children’s health were also presented by Alaska Brand Assistant Manager Patricia Domingo.

One of the most concerning problems is the number of Filipino Children who are affected by malnutrition.

As a response to the mentioned concerns, Alaska is holding forums like this, and launching  their most affordable milk pack yet, “Super Sulit Pack” which is only Php 70 at 300 grams. This is to help make nutrition more affordable to Filipino families amidst the pandemic.

Alaska Fortified Powdered Milk Drink remains committed to nourishing Filipino families and helping children grow with “Lakas(Strength) at Talas(Sharpness).” This is why the milk product contains protein, calcium, vitamin C and vitamin D for “Lakas” which helps with body development, and choline, iron and iodine for “Talas” which helps with brain development.

Alaska Fortified Powdered Milk Drink 300g “Super Sulit Pack” is now available until December 2021 in Shopee, Lazada, leading supermarkets, grocery stores nationwide.
